Me and The Mister

The mister and I both grew up in the same town in Tennessee, but didn't know one another until we were both attending school at Ole Miss.  Hotty Toddy!!  He was in college and I was in graduate school (yup, that's right...I robbed the cradle!).  The Mister was a manager on the football team at the time with the fiance of one of my grad school classmates.  They attempted to introduce us several times, but The Mister wasn't having any of it.  He had better things to do, like eating cereal and cleaning his apartment.  A clever plot was devised and we finally met in November of 2004.  After multiple long telephone conversations, we went on our first date in January of 2005.  The night was spent laughing and smiling, so much in fact that my face physically hurt at the end of the night.  We were inseparable after that.  He became my best friend and the love of my life.  We married two and a half years later and are still going strong.   

Fall 2005

Married life hasn't been easy, in fact, it's probably one of the hardest things I've ever done.  Despite that, I wouldn't change anything.  The Mister is one of the kindest and patient men that I've ever met.  He loves me unconditionally, even when I'm a grumpy bear and treat him like poo.  I'm so thankful that God chose him to be my husband and me to be his wife.

Welcome to the "Bringing up Sunshine" blog!  Join me as I chronicle all my experiences as a first-time mommy to our beautiful little Sunshine baby.  My goal for this blog is to share my life experiences, tutorials (sewing, craft, etc.), and provide a way for our family to keep up with Sunshine's life.  Enjoy!
